The Board of Education should ban junk food and soft drink vending machines because the junk food and soft drinks can cause the children to be unhealthy. The children could become addicted to food and want to eat more. In addition to that the children may become obese. Next, the child might get lazy and won't participate in activities in school. Kids have not been as peppy and healthy as before in their life. This is because kids have been purchasing more and more junk food with new vending machines in school. When school officials don't ban soda or junk food vending machines on school properties, more children become very unhealthy. Students won't get the amount of proteins they need. As a result, this will create bad eating habits for some students. Also, the food at school may be a child's only source of healthy food. Junk food vending machines and soda will make the child eat poorly again. Lastly, more children will become obese. Having vending machines in schools can cause unhealthy habits for children. An unhealthy habit would be buying snacks from the vending machine and munching on them in class. Munching on snacks in class can distract other children and crumbs could fall onto the floor creating a mess. Another unhealthy habit would be being late for class. Children could be late for class by stopping by the vending machine and grabbing a snack instead of heading straight for class. First, some paretns are in a bad state right now because of the economy. If their child asks for money every day for junk food from the parents, this can make the money matters worse for the parents. Another example is, parents work hard for their moeny and the child is going to go spend it all on junk food that isen't the most important thing in life that they need to spend their parent's money on. The Board of Education shouldn't band junk food and soda machines from school becasue it can affect kids learning. When kid went in to class they would have had alot of energy from the soda or junk food, however if the board of Education took away the machines then students won't be fully energyized to go to class. Also, kids sometimes don't eat breakfast in the mornning;so if soda and junk food machines are gone then kids will be starting the day of on a wrong foot. Students would be affected by the soade and junk food being gone because if kids don't like the lunch at school then they can have soda and junk food so that they don't go without eating and then do poorly in the next class. Schools should not ban vending machines from schools, because scientific studies say that the average brain works more between the hours 10:00am and 3:00pm and the students usually get to school around 7:00-8:00am the students have no time to eat breakfast and will not be able to wake up and get their brain moving unless they have something to wake them up such as, a snack from the vending machine. This will help them to get a better education and to understand more. However, this can lead to obisity if children eat to much. Overall, I believe that it will inprove your mind, future, and your education.
